What is Pebble?2019-05-23T17:08:33-05:00

Pebble products are made from Premium Full Spectrum Hemp Extract.

Pebble products are hemp extracted using solvent free extraction methods. Every batch is also tested by not one, but two third party labs to ensure the highest standards on the market. We believe in transparency – Not only are these testing results available on our website, but we also provide information on the source for each batch.

We want to ensure our customers receive the most consistent and highest quality products – and that they can verify that for themselves with our “Track Your Batch” feature. You can view the test results of Pebble products for cannabinoid profiles, microbial testing, pesticides, heavy metals, and milligrams per dose for each batch.

Our Infused-Oil contains 50mg active CBD compounds per serving, and our Softgels have 25mg active CBD compounds each. But Pebble Oils and Softgels are not just CBD. They include additional ingredients in a proprietary formula to enhance the benefits of CBD. These ingredients include peppermint oil, ginger, and other natural substances that complement CBD and make it even more beneficial.

How does CBD work?2019-07-02T15:28:50-05:00

Every Body Has an Endocannabinoid System

The Endocannabinoid System is an intricate network of receptors throughout the human body that connect to vital physiological processes like appetite, pain, memory, sleep, the immune system, and inflammation.

Cannabinoids, like CBD, are distributed throughout this system and attach to the receptors where they are needed most. They then send regulating signals to tissues and the brain.

The body maintains a balance of cannabinoids and only uses them when they’re needed. Some health challenges and conditions can deplete cannabinoids as they are used by the body to bring them back to health. Full spectrum CBD oil helps to re-nourish the body’s cannabinoids.

What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?2019-05-23T17:10:00-05:00

CBD is an abbreviation for “Cannabidiol.” It is a natural non-intoxicating compound- one of over 113 known cannabinoids found in the cannabis species. The therapeutic potential of CBD is being researched by scientists and doctors around the world – and the results are impressive.

What are the Benefits of CBD?2019-05-23T17:17:17-05:00

People reportedly take hemp for its anti-inflammatory effects. Testimonies run the full scope of Neurological conditions: migraines, arthritis, PTSD, MS, Autism, Epilepsy, and others.

CBD has “..enormous therapeutic potential. Although CBD doesn’t make people feel high like THC does, it’s causing quite a buzz among scientists, health professionals, and medical marijuana patients who are using CBD-rich products to treat a wide range of conditions—chronic pain, cancer, Crohn’s, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, PTSD, cardiovascular disease, anxiety, antibiotic-resistant infections, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, and more. Academic research centers in the United States and elsewhere are currently studying the effects of CBD on these and other ailments.

Scientists refer to CBD as a “promiscuous” compound because it confers therapeutic benefits in many different ways while tapping into how we function physiologically and biologically on a deep level.

Extensive preclinical research and some clinical studies have shown that CBD has strong anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, anti-depressant, anti-psychotic, anti-tumoral, and neuroprotective qualities. Cannabidiol can change gene expression and remove beta amyloid plaque, the hallmark of Alzheimer’s, from brain cells.”

What does Full-Spectrum mean?2019-07-02T15:33:08-05:00

When isolated, CBD has a huge list of potential benefits – but what about the other parts of the plant? There are a wide array of compounds in hemp, and they all have their own unique potential benefits.

Pebble Full-Spectrum Hemp products are extracted using the whole plant, so you receive the mix of cannabinoids, nutrients, and proteins from the other compounds in hemp, too.

What’s more – these compounds all work together in harmony to magnify their therapuetric properties. They have a greater wellness benefit when combined than if taken separately, maximizing and enhancing the desired results.⠀

Are Pebble’s Hemp Crops Grown “Organic”?2019-07-02T15:35:30-05:00

Pebble’s hemp crops are grown to organic standards. In the past, anything coming from the plant genus “cannabis” could not be USDA certified “Organic,” because technically it was federally illegal.

With the freedom gained as an agricultural crop after hemp’s removal from the CSA, USDA “organic” certification for Pebble hemp products should be on the horizon.

Is Hemp Extract Legal?2019-07-02T15:36:30-05:00

Yes – Pebble can be shipped and sold in all 50 states. The U.S. Senate voted in June 2018, as part of the Farm Bill, to permanently remove hemp from the controlled substances list and treat it as the agricultural crop it has always been.

Is Hemp Extract Safe?2019-07-02T15:38:13-05:00

Hemp extract itself is very safe. But it is crucial to choose products that are:

  • Grown in the US
  • Pesticide-free
  • Solvent-free
  • Non-GMO
  • 3rd-party lab verified.

Each and every Pebble product meets that criteria – in fact, we have two rounds of 3rd party lab testing!

Will Hemp Extract Cause a “High” Feeling?2019-07-02T15:39:19-05:00

No: it is impossible to take enough hemp to get high.

Fact: The Federal government specifically stated that part of the reason the hemp definition was set at <0.3% THC (the intoxicating compound in cannabis) is because at that concentration “hemp” has no psychoactive effect at any dose.

Are Hemp Products Safe For Pets?2019-07-02T15:44:37-05:00

Yes! Humans and our furry family members both have cannabinoid receptors in the brain, which are part of the endocannabinoid system throughout our bodies.

In mammals, this system works to control inflammation, pain, motor control, skin condition, appetite, mood, aggression, anxiety, neurological disorders and others.

CBD hemp oil is “non-psychoactive” in all mammals, safe and helps the endocannabinoid system to function more effectively, elevating wellness and quality of life.

Pebble is currently creating a proprietary line of pet products. In the meantime, you can use our infused oil in smaller servings, mixed with food. Always consult your veterinarian prior to giving your pet any new products.

How Do I Use Hemp Oil?2019-07-02T16:02:45-05:00

There are a lot of ways to ingest CBD. Most people take it by mouth using oil or softgels, or they apply it directly onto their skin in a lotion.

Hemp, Marijuana, and Cannabis: What’s the Difference?2019-05-13T03:29:58-05:00

Hemp plants and marijuana plants are very similar — but they are not the same. They are two different varieties of the same species of plant: cannabis.

Both hemp and marijuana contain cannabinoids and terpene molecules. The infinite combinations of these different types of compounds are what creates different types of cannabis, and the differences in sensation, taste, smell, and pyscho-activeness of cannabis plants.

While hemp has high levels of CBD (See “What is CBD?”), it has extremely low levels of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the chemical compound that creates the “high” sensation people report feeling while using marijuana.

Hemp is legally defined as having less than 0.3% THC, while marijuana plants typically contain 5% – 38% THC. The Federal government specifically stated that part of the reason the hemp definition was set at <0.3% is because at that concentration “hemp” can have no psychoactive effect at any dose.

All Pebble products are hemp based, and every batch is verified to be under the federal definition of <0.3% THC. You can see the exact testing results for your product on our “Track Your Batch” page.

What is the difference between Natural Whole Plant CBD and Synthetic?2019-07-02T15:52:39-05:00

Synthetic hemp oil is isolated CBD, and has been made in a lab.

Hemp oil comes from the whole plant which contains over 400 molecules that work in harmony, boosting their individual effects. Studies have shown that full spectrum hemp oil requires lower dosages than synthetic.

Pebble’s full spectrum hemp oil is derived from carefully monitored natural processes and is guaranteed pesticide free.

What Extraction Method Does Pebble Use?2019-07-02T15:58:12-05:00

Pebble products are all Ethanol extracted.

Ethanol extraction is a clean method that preserves the beneficial terpenes and cannabinoids -molecules found in the plant.

Can You Take Too Much Hemp Oil?2019-07-02T16:00:48-05:00

Hemp oil is non-toxic, and no known fatal overdoses have ever been reported. That said, too much of any good thing will make your tummy hurt.

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (2011) concluded, ‘no signs of toxicity or serious side effects have been observed following chronic administration of hemp oil to healthy volunteers (Cunha et al., Pharmacology 21:127- 185, 1980), even in large acute doses of 700 mg/day (Consroe et al., Pharmacol, Biochem, Behav. 40:701-708, 1991).’
